Velmora was founded in 2024 by a small independent team with a shared obsession:

how light quietly shapes the way a space feels.

We noticed something simple but often overlooked — most homes are lit for visibility, not for comfort. Bright lights help us see, but they don’t always help us slow down, unwind, or feel at ease in our own space. Velmora began as an attempt to change that, starting with one carefully chosen piece of ambient light.

From the beginning, our focus hasn’t been on creating something new for the sake of novelty. Instead, we test and refine lighting in real environments — bedrooms, desks, living rooms — paying attention to tone, warmth, and how light blends into everyday life rather than dominating it.

Our first product, the Velmora™ Sunset Lamp, reflects this approach. While sunset lamps themselves aren’t new, we were interested in how one should feel when you live with it day after day. We focused on achieving a softer, more natural glow, and on creating a piece that feels intentional rather than decorative.
